How to get an electronic visa for Bali (EVOA)?

Not long ago, the borders of Indonesia opened for mass tourism. The era of coronavirus is gradually coming to an end, and the B211 visa for Bali, which allows staying in Indonesia for up to 6 months (Bali visa B211), has been replaced by the VOA on arrival—valid for 60 days.

Tourists have returned to Bali, with about one million domestic tourists per month, as well as hundreds of thousands of foreign tourists arriving. Previously, queues at the border took 30–40 minutes, and people sat on the floor waiting for their coveted passport stamps.

Now, these queues take much longer, measured not in minutes but in tiredness after a long flight. But you have a chance to apply for an eVOA visa in advance and pass through automated gates without queues (see photo above).

Understanding the situation with long queues at international airports, on November 7, 2022, the Indonesian authorities released a special electronic visa for Indonesia – eVOA, which can be obtained in advance directly on the website of the immigration service. This greatly relieved Ngurah Rai airport in Denpasar, Bali. Queues have become smaller, and the number of people using electronic visa upon arrival in Indonesia is growing.
