Yes, it may come as a surprise to many that the most visited peak in Bali, Mount Batur, is at the bottom of the list of the top ten highest peaks in Bali. In fact, Mount Batur is the 11th highest peak in Bali. The 10th spot is actually held by Puncak Penulisan, which is the location of a temple at a height of 1745 m. However, Mount Batur made the list due to its popularity and legendary status.
I have personally been to all of the highest peaks – Agung, Batukaru, Abang, and Catur – and also hiked to Lesung and Batur. Natasha has been to Abang, Sanghyang, Catur, Lesung, and plans to visit Batukaru.
